  • Public GitHub contributors to the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) and Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) repositories
  • Public GitHub contributors to celestia-core, celestia-node, and celestia-app (excluding Celestia Labs)
  • Members of GitHub organizations and public contributors to key repos of open source blockchain dependencies of Celestia

Eth Research (1,400,000 TIA)

  • Users of Eth Research forum who have created at least 1 Topic or 1 Post before July 5, 2023

2. Early Modular Ecosystem (8,350,000 TIA)

  • Members of GitHub organizations and public GitHub contributors based on:
    • The Modular ecosystem map and Celestia ecosystem map (July 2023)

  • Snapshot taken at Ethereum block 16308181 (January 1, 2023)
  • Activity score based on:
    • Recency of last transaction
    • Holding an ENS domain (.eth)
    • Gitcoin donation
    • Smart contract interactions
    • Account age
    • Active months
    • Number of transactions
    • Total value of transactions

Exclusion Criteria: Known sybils, exchanges, relayers, and addresses connected to exploits

4. Stakers and IBC Relayers on Cosmos Hub and Osmosis (20,000,000 TIA)

  • Cosmos Hub and Osmosis stakers/delegators of ≥ $75 (Snapshot: Cosmos Hub block 13482205, Osmosis block 7592794)
  • IBC relayers making MsgRecvPacket transactions before January 1, 2023

Exclusion Criteria: Sybil addresses, known exchange addresses, addresses connected to exploits

Additional Information

  • TIA is essential for paying for blobspace through PayForBlobs (PFB) transactions
  • Developers can use TIA to bootstrap rollups without needing to issue their own token immediately
  • TIA enables staking for network security and participation in governance
  • Governance includes voting on network parameters and community pool allocation
  • Community pool receives 2% of all Celestia block rewards
  • At the conclusion of the Genesis Drop, unclaimed tokens (up to 45 million TIA) will be reallocated to claimants
  • The official claiming process is only through genesis.celestia.org
  • Tokens will be accessible directly in-wallet from Celestia’s first block
